RIVERS State governor, Mr Rotimi Chibuke Amaechi, said on Tuesday, in Lagos, that it amounts to speculations that Northern youths will unleash terror if All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, General Mohammadu Buhari, does not win the 2015 presidential election, declaring that Buhari would defeat President Goodluck Jonathan in the coming poll.

Amaechi, who is the Director-General of the Buhari Campaign Organisation, said this at a press conference in Lagos, just as he also described as speculations report that Buhari had promised to do a single term if elected as president in 2015.
“Buhari never said he would do one term, you are speculating,” he said, declaring that Buhari would defeat Jonathan in 2015 because the political map in the country had since changed unlike what it was in 2011.
Amaechi, who spoke on key issues, including the source of campaign funds for Buhari, what would happen to his job now that he had taken the challenge to do a countrywide for the APC presidential candidate, alleged salaries owed the Rivers workers, among others, declared that he was funding the Buhari campaign with government money like the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was doing by raising over N21billion through various sources that had links with government.
He said he would not be abandoning his duties to the good peoples of the state because he had a capable deputy to handle the affairs, just as he stressed that he did not owe any worker, as payment of December salaries would be completed on Wednesday (today).
Speaking further on the chances of Buhari, the Rivers State governor explained that it was normal in the past to conclude that the South-South and South-East were 100 per cent in support of Mr President, but quickly submitted that currently there were problems facing PDP in Cross River, Bayelsa, Akwa-Ibom, Rivers, Enugu, Delta, among others.
“It is no longer the same. That electoral map appears to have changed. Now, do we have problems in our party? No, it is only the PDP that has problems and with that, the political map of Nigeria has changed. I believe by God’s grace, Buhari will emerge the president, the political map does not favour Jonathan,” he said.
He, however, urged Nigerians to protect their votes on election day, saying “we will ensure that we have people as agents that will represent the APC.”
Amaechi said the PDP was definitely jittery with the coming on board of APC, recalling that it used to be three or four weak parties confronting the PDP in an election.
Speaking on the APC presidential candidate’s vision for Nigeria, Amaechi, who said that corruption remained the bane of the country, contended that Buhari was the change Nigeria was waiting for, assuring that he would run a prudent government.
